welcome

We are one church family who meet at 3 locations at 10am on Sundays

St Andrew’s Sherborne St John:    every Sunday

All Saints’ Monk Sherborne:           2nd Sunday of the month

Pamber Priory:                                   4th Sunday of the month

We love to see new people and are confident that you will feel right at home. Our Sunday services begin with a warm welcome and an invitation to celebrate the good news about Jesus Christ and listen to God speak to us through his Word. You are welcome to join in with singing and praying or you can just listen in.

All our Sunday services are for all ages. At St Andrew's we have a creche space with toys for pre-schoolers that carers can use as needed. During term time we run Sunday Club during the service for primary aged children.

We are also active during the week, meeting together at different times and serving our local communities in Sherborne St John, Monk Sherborne, Pamber End, Pamber Green, Marnel Park, Merton Rise, Spiers Meadow, Nightingale View & Sherborne Fields. You can find out more under "Church Life".

FAQ

What should I expect when I visit the churcH?

A member of our Welcome Team will greet you on the door and answer any questions you might have. You can sit wherever you are most comfortable and you will be able to follow the service on the screen or a service booklet. Every service is different but the usual pattern involves singing, prayers, bible readings and a talk. You are free to take part in as much or as little as you like. There are normally refreshments after the service has finished which everyone is welcome to stay for.

WHAT HAPPENS FOR CHILDREN DURING SERVICES?

Children of all ages are very welcome at all our services in each of our churches. At St Andrew's there is a creche space at the back which is for pre-school children and their carers to use as needed. During term-time we have a Sunday Club at St Andrew's for primary aged children. After the first few songs and a short "spot" aimed at all ages, our leaders will take them across to the school for activities and teaching from the Bible appropriate for their age. They will then return during the final song. Children are welcome to stay in the service with their families if they prefer.

is there a dress code?

No, please just be yourself and dress however you feel comfortable.

WHAT FACILITIES ARE THERE IN YOUR CHURCHES?

At St Andrew's we a small kitchen, toilet facilities a baby changing area with all the essentials in the creche space at the back of the church. We have no kitchen or toilet facilities at All Saints' or Pamber Priory but we do bring an urn so we can have hot drinks after the service!
